About the Omega DeVille
Symbol of sturdy elegance, the name "De Ville" first appeared in October 1960 in the promotion of new Seamaster monocoque models, a line of flat, self-winding, water-resistant date watches with central seconds-hand; beginning in 1963, their dials were marked "Seamaster De Ville".

By 1967, the De Ville range had become the largest group within the Omega collection: simple models (hour-minute, hand-winding, non water-resistant during its first years), but youthful, colourful, varied, and adaptable to the latest fashion trends.
