How to Lose Friends & Alienate People is a 2008 comedy film about the struggle of a British writer to make it in the United States after employment at a celebrity magazine. Directed by Robert B. Weide and starring Simon Pegg as Sidney Young, Kirsten Dunst as Alison Olsen, Jeff Bridges as Clayton Harding, Danny Huston as Lawrence Maddox, Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Johnson, and Megan Fox as Sophie Maes. In the movie, the main character receives a watch, which interestingly enough is a different watch in different versions of the movie. The close up of the watch that he receives is an Omega SpeedMaster Professional, but in some versions of the film, the close up of the watch shows a different model from Omega, a Seamaster, even though he can clearly be seen wearing the Speedmaster at a later sene in the movie.
