Peter Tyushkevich is the first Russian kiteboarder who had taken so high place in a world rating: nobody else from Russia got Cup PKRA (Professional Kiteboard Riders Association) before. In 2009 Tjushkevich got the most prestigious award in the world of kite surfing, becoming the world champion in ISAF version and the owner of Cup KPWT. Now Peter lives and trains on Mauritius.

In October 2010, Peter Tyushkevich became a brand ambassador of the watch brand Suunto. He wears a Suunto Core Extreme Edition Red.
