Albert Einstein was a theoretical physicist, philosopher and author who is widely regarded as one of the most influential and best known scientists and intellectuals of all time. He is often regarded as the father of modern physics. Two timepieces of the genius still exist: a 1930s Longines wristwatch, recently sold at an auction to a collector and a Longines pocket-watch dating from 1943, which is now in the History Museum in Berne (Switzerland).
