Hublot

Hublot is luxury watch brand founded in 1980 by Carlo Crocco. The company currently operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of France's LVMH. Jean-Claude Biver, who was previously successful in rejuvenating the Blancpain and Omega brands, is the current CEO.

The brand is famous for it's award winning Big Bang, which immediately after it's launch in 2005 became very popular.

Hublot has engaged in a number of sponsorship deals, including a deal with the football club Manchester United, worth £4 million a year. Hublot provided special versions of their Big Bang watches to referees officiating at UEFA Euro 2008 and In March 2010, Hublot was appointed the Official Watchmaker of Formula 1. Hublot has it's own ambassador on the F1 circuits in 2010, in the shape of Bruno Senna. In April 2010 Hublot became the official time keeper of the 2010 FIFA World Cup (during which soccer legend and the new brand ambassador Diego Maradona sported his own Hublot model) and the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Many celebrities have been spotted with Hublot watches, including athlete Usain Bolt, F1 driver Jenson Button, Christiano Ronaldo and singer Lionel Richie.

During the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa, Hublot was a sponsor and the brand released a limited edition version of the Big Bang dedicated to soccer legend Diego Maradona.
